Postponed: Integration airport tax into ticket price

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A new system that includes passenger service charge (PSC), or known as airport tax, in ticket prices will be implemented on October 1, or delayed from initial plan on September 1. The Executive Director of Angkasa Pura II, Tri S Sunoko, said it the process was hampered by registration phase to Air Transport Association (IATA).

Sunoko explained that the related parties must report the ticket system to IATA. Then, IATA will respond up to 30 days. The Vice President of Communication PT Garuda Indonesia, Pujobroto, said that Garuda was ready for a new system, aimed to ease the passengers and management of airport. The new system will be applied in 22 airports in Indonesia managed by Angkasa Pura I and Angkasa Pura II.
