US ambassador and W. Java governor to collaborate to tackle human trafficking

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - US Ambassador to Indonesia Scot Marciel expressed his concern over human trafficking case in West Java, Indonesian, as he met the Governer of West Java Ahmad Heryawan on Saturday. Marciel and Heryawan agreed to hand in hand on taking serious steps to push the number of human trafficking.

Marciel said that he appreciated Heryawan's effort to tackle the problem. "We must support governor's effort," he said.

Besides meeting the governor, Marciel also attended the event 'Join the Fight Against Human Trafficking' in Gasibu, Bandung. He promises to help West Java solving human trafficking problem.

Meanwhile, Heryawan explained that the core of the problem was economy and the lack of education. To push the number, West Java Provincial Government provides affordable education, training, and vast job opportunities.
