Boediono and Mursi hold bilateral meeting in Teheran

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHERAN - Indonesian Vice President Boediono held bilateral meeting with President Mohammed Mursi of Egypt, on the sidelines of 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Teheran on Thursday. The meeting was held in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Center.

During the meeting, Boediono sent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's regards to President Mursi, who was just elected in June. He also said that Indonesia paid serious attention to the development of Egypt considering that both countries had long relationship. The Vice President also offered Indonesian assistance for the democratization as Indonesia had experienced the similar process.

Boediono invited President Mursi to attend the Bali Democracy Forum in November although Mursi could not ensure his attendance. Boediono also emphasized that Indonesia would always be ready to receive economic and trade delegations from Egypt and vice versa.
