Mandiri awarded as the best bank in Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri achieves an award as the best bank in Indonesia on Finance Asia 2012 Country Award for Achievement. This state-owned bank is also achieved awards as the Best Foreign Exchange Bank and the Best Private Bank in Indonesia.

Finance Asia also grants Bank Mandiri's subsidiary, Mandiri Sekuritas, as the Best Investment Banking House and the Best Equity House in Indonesia. This finance and economic magazine annually organizes awards for Asia's financial industry, such as in China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and Thailand.

Its criteria for the award are the financial ability, including the asset and the performance, and the ability to adapt on the changes in market and customer demands.

"This international recognition grows our spirit on becoming one of the best primary bank in Southeast Asia," the Director Treasury Financial Institutions and Special Asset Management Bank Mandiri, Royke Tumilaar, said on Sunday.

Bank Mandiri records the credit growth on 26.6 percent or become 350.4 trillion IDR on the second quarter of 2012. The achievement supports the increasing of total asset on 571.8 trillion IDR compared to that of last year, which was 474.9 trillion IDR. The positive performance triggers the growth of net profit, which becomes 7.1 trillion IDR on the second quarter of 2012.
