REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia and China agreed on bilateral cooperation in hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca -Ed) management. The agreement was concluded in a meeting between China’s State Administration for Religious Affairs, Zhang Lebin, and Indonesia’s Secretary General of the Ministry for Religious Affairs, Bahrul Hayat.
Zhang’s visit also enhances the inter-religious harmony to bring peace to the world. He also officially extended an invitation to Indonesia’s Minister for Religious Affairs Suryadharma Ali to visit China.
Both sides also discussed the cultures of Indonesian and Chinese muslims. The relationship between Indonesia and China is increasing started from the Chinese culture festival expo opened by the Vice President Boediono three years ago. Indonesia also offers scholarship for Chinese Muslim to study in Indonesian Islamic Universities.
