Australia grants four C-130 Hercules

JAKARTA - Australia grants four C-130 Hercules aircraft to Indonesia as reported by Nasihin Masha from Republika. The Indonesian Minister of Defense, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, officially receives the grant on Monday. The handover conducted in Royal Australian Air Force Base, Darwin, Australia, shortly after President SBY landed in Darwin.

Australia's Minister of Defense, Stephen Smith, accompanied by the Chief of Australia's Air Force, David Hurley, handed in the used aircrafts. Hercules is known as cargo transport aircraft and used in military, especially to carry troops and logistics. Indonesia, as a country prone to natural disaster, this aircraft is effective to deliver food aid and other necessities of disaster victim.
