Wow… Military conscription for Indonesian tax employees!

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Directorate General of Tax obliges its employees to conduct military conscription in order to increase their integrity, according to its spokesman, Dedi Rudaedi.

He claimed the step is a part of ongoing bureaucratic reform process. The training will be started this year and take around two weeks. It is conducted gradually starting from the front liner.

The Directorate General of Tax currently has 32,000 employees in duty for millions taxpayers in Indonesia. "On contrary, Japan as a developed country with smaller geography and good IT, has 56,000 employees," he explained.
