REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will attend the 10th anniversary of Timor Leste's Independence Day. His two-day visit on May 19-20 is an invitation from the Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao.
SBY's Presidential Staff on Foreign Affairs, Teuku Faizasyah, said SBY would hold a meeting with President Jose Ramos-Horta. "President will also perceive the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)," Faizasyah said.
SBY will also attend the inauguration of the elected president of Timor Leste, President Jose Maria Vasconcelos and hold a meeting with him. The meeting is expected to strengthen the relationship between both countries.
Furthermore, the Indonesian president will also receive the award 'The Grand Collar of the Order of Timor-Leste' from Timor Leste Government and visit Santa Cruz cemetery and Seroja Heroes Cemetery in Dili.
