REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Sukhoi plans to present all-new Russian civil airplane “Sukhoi Superjet 100” (SSJ-100) in Jakarta, Wednesday. This is the part of a “road show” organized by the Russian company “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” in several countries of Central and South East Asia, the statement from Russian embassy says. 

During the event in Jakarta the Russian jet SSJ-100 will conduct a demonstrational flight. The presentation will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of transport of the Republic of Indonesia, leading Indonesian airlines and senior officials from the Russian Embassy in Indonesia.

Beside Indonesia presentations of “Sukhoi Superjet 100” are going to be held in Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam. “Sukhoi Superjet 100” is a regional aircraft of the new generation designed and manufactured by the Russian company “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft”. It is able to carry on its board 98 passengers. 

The Russian jet is designed for operating at the range of 3,048 km for the basic version and 4578 km for the long range version at the altitude up to 12,200 m. In January 2011 the jet obtained the Type Certificate by the Russian Certification Authority IAC AR and the EASA certification – in February 2012. The first flight of “Sukhoi Superjet 100” was conducted in May 2008.

In April 2011 the first serial aircraft was delivered to the Armenian airlines “Armavi”. These aircrafts are also used by the Russian flag-carrier “Aeroflot – Russian airlines”. During the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2011 in Zhukovsky (in Russia) on August 16, 2011 “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” Company and Indonesian regional carrier PT Sky Aviation signed the Contract for the purchase of 12 “Sukhoi Superjet 100” aircrafts with total value of 380,4 million USD.
