REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Three Indonesian workers from Nusa Tenggara Barat who worked in Malaysia were shot dead by Malaysian police on March 25, 2012 in Port Dickson. The Interpol is now being asked to investigate the case, as the family feared of organ theft.

The police claimed the three workers, Herman (34 years), Abdul Kadir Jailani (25 years), and Mad Noor (28 years), attacked the police while they were being caught. Yet, the families found some unusual things on the dead bodies. Hirman, the brother of Abdul Kadir Jaelani, said there were some stitches in their eyes, chest, and stomach.

“The stitches in their bodies make questionable facts as they collided with the information in the documents provided by local official. In the information, they are dead by guns hot wound on the head and multiple gun shots wounds,” the Director Executive of Migrant CARE, Anis Hidayah, said on Monday.

After passing some process, the three bodies were finally sent to NTB on Thursday (April 5) and buried. The families of the victims presumed that their organs were sold. For that, they wanted the bodies to be autopsied.

Indonesian Migrant Workers Placement and Protection National Agency (BNP2TKI) established a team to investigate the shooting of Indonesian workers in Malaysia.

“The team is in coordination with Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia,” the Head of BNP2TKI, Jumhur Hidayat, said on Tuesday.

The team will also investigate the issue of organ selling. But he said it was too early and speculative to say that their organs were taken and sold. He added that BNP2TKI condemned the Malaysian police move to shoot the workers.

According to the Director of Protection of BNP2TKI, Brigade General Bambang Purwanto, three of them were illegal workers and had been in Malaysia since 2010. East Lombok Police Department today escorts the family of the victims to process the autopsy permission.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Michael S Tene, said that the ministry had asked Malaysian government for the explanation through Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

“Indonesian government cannot accept the cause of the death of three Indonesian workers,” Tene said on Thursday. Government needs the chronology of the case. The ministry also prepares a lawyer in the embassy to ensure the law steps.

While the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration, Muhaimin Iskandar, asked the Interpol to investigate the case. "We are urging the Interpol to investigate and find out about the allegation of murder and organ stealing. There are some uncertainties about the case, so far," he said on Tuesday.
