Indonesia is prone to bird flu cases

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia probably has the most bird flu cases in the world in the beginning of 2012. If the suspect of bird flu patient in Tanggerang positively suffers the virus attack, then the cases now adds to three. The first two patients passed away and Indonesia had reported those cases to World Health Organization (WHO).   

Deputy Minister of Health Ali Gufron Mukti, said the bird flu cases tend to increase during the rest of year. With three  cases, Indonesia and Egypt now sit as coutries with the most bird flu cases in the world.    

"Compared to country like Cina, the bird flu cases in Indonesia tends to decline since 2008. The beginning of 2012 is an exceptional," Mukti said on Monday.
