REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Former vice president Jusuf Kalla (JK) and Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) held a closed door meeting on Monday. The meeting lasted about 45 minutes in the state palace.

A spokeperson of the presidential palace, Julian Aldrin Pasha, confirmed when asked about the meeting. “It was a casual meeting, nothing important. They might discuss few topics but It is not something I can explain,” Pasha said without elaborating.

Journalists were not allowed to cover the meeting. Journalists who wanted to take picture of the pair came up with empty handed. JK exited through the palace’s front gate while journalists gathered in the backside of the palace.

JK was reported entering the palace by a black sedan. SBY then came from the state guesthouse by riding a golf cart. During the meeting, Minister of State Secretary Sudi Silalahi and Secretary for Cabinet, Dipo Alam, accompanied SBY.
