REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police interrogation report (BAP) of Novel Baswedan's attack case went missing, rumor said. However, Jakarta Metro Police denied the rumor and said BAP of the case was safe and did not disappeared. "Who says that? It did not went missing," said Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson, Argo Yuwono on Monday (Feb 12).
The police have not been able to nabbed the assailants. Related to progress of the case, Argo said police will summons Novel to be examined again if neccesary. As well as other witnesses to be examined in order to solve the case.

Previously, Novel was examined by Jakarta Metro Police investigators on last August 14, 2017 at Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. At that time, the investigators asked Novel about the chronology of acid attack, evidences that he might have, incuding on alleged involvement of police general. Novel was accompanied by a number of lawyers and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) representatives.
Novel was attacked by two unidentified persons who splashed acid onto his face and eyes in April 2017. The attack happened early morning, after he performed a morning prayer (subuh) in a mosque near his house in North Jakarta.
In an interview with Time, Novel claimed that a police general or a high-level police official was involved in the attack on him. As one of the KPK's top investigator, he has led investigations into several high-profile cases, including the ongoing e-ID embezzlement case that has implicated several lawmakers and high-ranking government officials.
Novel is currently still undergoing medical treatment in Singapore.
