Police must continue investigating Novel’s case: Masinton

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The investigation of the case of splashed toxic liquid to Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)’s investigator Novel Baswedan had been going for two months. But, the assailants were remaining a mystery. 

A member of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) Masinton Pasaribu said police should follow up the case. The police should reveal the assailants. He said the case should not be paused or stopped. “Keep on investigating,” said Masinton on Sunday (June 4).

Unidentified men splashed toxic liquid to Novel after having a dawn prayer in Al Ihsan Mosque, North Jakarta, on April 11. Police had examined 14 people who were in the location. 

On Tuesday (May 9), Jakarta Metro Police arrested a man with initial AL. He was accused to be the assailant. But, four days later, the Spokesperson of Jakarta Metro Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono ensure that it was not him.
