REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) officially opens Trans Studio, integrated tourism area in Bandung, on Saturday. SBY on Grand Ballroom the Trans Luxury Hotel emphasized that this theme park could boost local economic activity.
“I hope the local economy and West Java, especially the creative economy sector, can increase with the existence of this indoor tourism,’ SBY said.
Bandung Trans Studio integrated area consists of Trans Studio Theme Park, claimed to be the biggest indoor theme park in the world; Trans Studio Mall, formerly Bandung Supermal (BSM); the Trans Luxury Hotel, claimed itself as six stars hotel; and Hotel Ibis Bandung, the biggest Ibis Hotel in Asia Pacific.
“I reiterate the management of Trans Corporation and entrepreneurs to provide opportunity to Small and Medium Enterprises to take part in this integrated area,” he said.
The opening ceremony is also attended by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, the owner of Trans Corp Chairul Tanjung, The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Marie Elka Pangestu, the Minister of Communication and Information Tifatul Sembiring, and Vice Governor of West Java Dede Yusuf.
