Prabowo Officially Awarded Honorary General to Five Retired Lieutenant Generals

President Prabowo granted the rank of Honorary General to the fifth retired Army officer.

RI President General (Purn) Prabowo Subianto officially bestows the rank of Honorary General on five retired three-star senior officers.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian President General (Purn) Prabowo Subianto has officially awarded the rank of Honorary General to five retired three-star senior officers, one of whom has died. This was done while he was the inspector of the Degree Ceremony of the Operational and Military Honor Troops in Lanud Suparlan, Pusdiklatpassus Kopassus, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency, West Java, Sunday (10/8/2025).

The Honorary General Recipients were Minister of Information from 1998 to 1999 Yunus Yosfiah represented by his son, Minister of Defence (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Head of State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra, Head of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) Agus Sutomo, and Governor of DKI Jakarta from 1966 to 1977 Ali Sadikin represented by his son Boy Bernardi Sadikin.

Later, Prabowo also conferred the rank of Honorary Lieutenant General to Soehartono Soeratman, Bambang Eko Suharyanto, Chairawan Kadarsyah Kadirussalam Nusyirwan, Musa Bangun, Glenny Kairupan, and Tony SB Hoesodo For the honorary rank of Major General was only given to one person, namely Brigjen (Purn) Taufik Hidayat.

In addition, Prabowo also presented the Milky Star award to Letda (Purn) Darius Bayani and former Marine Corps Commander (Dankormar) Letjen (Purn) Muhamad Alfian Baharudin who led Operation Liberation of MV Sinar Kudus. Darius Bayani's role as a native son of Papua took part in Operation Mapenduma in Papua in 1996.

Prabowo also inaugurated and inaugurated three new organizations in the Ministry of Defence (Ministry of Defence). The new organisation was the National Logistics Agency (Baloghan) replacing the Defence Saranan Agency (Baranahan), the National Reserve Board (Bacadnas), and the Defence Maintenance and Maintenance Agency (Baharwathan).

Prabowo also appointed Marsdya Yusuf Jauhari as the Head of the Ministry of Finance, Lieutenant General Gabriel Lema as the Head of the Ministry of Commerce Bacadnas, and Laksda Supo Dwi Diantara as the Head of Baharwathan Kemenhan. The establishment of two new bodies and four new nomenclatures to replace the old existing bodies is contained in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 85 of 2025 on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, Prabowo formalized the formation of six Special Forces Command Groups (Kopassus), five Marine Infantry Battalions, and five Rapid Mobility Corps Commando Battalions (Korpasgat).
