Bobotoh helps Persib management to pay fine by collecting coins

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Official of Viking Persib Club Yana Umar said the supporters of Persib, known as Bobotoh community, has started fundraising to pay a fine to the Discipline Commission of Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

Fundraising has been started by Vikings in several district in Bandung and other regions in West Java. They collect coins to respond to a sanction imposed on Thursday (September 14) by PSSI.

Persib got the sanction of Rp50 million following Bobotoh action who staged choreography "Save Rohingya" on Saturday at the Stadium Si Jalak Harupat, Bandung, West Java.

The fine has to be paid within the next 14 days. "We are the ones who make the choreography and we are ready to take responsibility. By doing this, we show our love and compassion to Persib," he said.

Yana said Bobotoh will do more than to help Persib management to pay the fine. "We will try to collect more funds and donate it for Rohingyas through Rumah Zakat," he said.
