REPUBLIKA.CO.ID -- The members of parliament from Gerindra fraction, Sodik Mudjahid, has revealed some facts showed that West Java Police were unfair and defend one of the parties due to the incident in Bandung and some city in West Java. 

According to Sodik, the West Java Police Chief invited several organizations to ask the masses to confront with the FPI on Thursday (January 12). Only GMBI came as the police target. ''The police facilitate GMBI's morning briefing a day before the incident at the police headquarters’s yard,'' said Sodik in Jakarta on Tuesday.

On the day of the incident, he added, the police let their members and GMBI sympathizers to carry beams and weapons. In fact, the Constitution forbids it and it does not appropriate with the police guidelines.

In addition, on the day of the incident, the police also let the intimidation, insult, persecution, and destruction of FPI’s car by the member of GMBI. ''West Java Police chief let GMBI action lasted late at night, over the deadline at 18:00 pm, as regulated by law. The police dispersed GMBI after being urged by the FPI," he said.

According to the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII, West Java Police Chief also deliberately visited GMBI members who became victims in Tasikmalaya, although it took about three hours to reach the site. Meanwhile, he did not visited the victims on the part of FPI which were treated in RSAI al-Islam. ''The distance of the police headquarters and RSAI al-Islam is only 10 minutes because it is in the same street namely Soekarno–Hatta Street,'' Sodik said.

Sodik added, FPI's sympathizers who allegedly became the perpetrators of GMBI’s post burning in Bogor were immediately arrested and named as suspects. Meanwhile, the alleged perpetrators of GMBI’s brutality did not arrested. Until now, there was no explanation of incident from West Java Police.

Not only that, added Sodik, there is a deliberate siding opinion where the Head of Public Relations of West Java Police acted against the law and against the Chief of Police instructions to not making hoax news.

Sodik said, the Public Relations of West Java Police wrote fake news (hoax) in the website and fanpage, stating that the regional officers (PW) of Muhammadiyah in West Java acussed and condemned FPI for being anarchist. It was later denied by PW Muhammadiyah in West Java.

In line with the injustice, the public relation of West Java Police did imply the guidelines to hold a press conference about the sequence of events. If this is allowed, said Sodik, it is very dangerous for the nation. He said the National Police Chief, Tito Karnavian, who was trying to build integrate and professional police should did an investigation on Irjenpol Anton Charliyan, or even to dismss him as the police chief of West Java.
