"Starting this year, 2018, pilgrims can enjoy Arafah sermon in seven languages and we choose one of those is Indonesian due to a large number of pilgrims are from the country," said Samir on Tuesday (Feb 20).

In particular, Bahasa Indonesia is choosen due to many Hajj pilgrims come from Indonesia every year. Indonesia also the most populous Muslim country in the world. In addition, he also said Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have strong relationship. Both countries also interact very closely in the implementation of umrah (minor Hajj) and Hajj.

Samir expected Muslims in Indonesia can listen directly Arafah sermon through television or internet network with the translation.

Furthermore, Samir said Saudi TV continues to strengthen the network to broaden its broadcast coverage. The Saudi Arabia's state-run television is now preparing seven channels with different broadcast content.
