In fact that Quran Mushaf in Indonesia are taking reference from Quran Mushaf in India.

“Perhaps the Quran went through the trade,” he said.

After he met Kyai Sya’roni, a Quran expert from Central Java, he explained that if Quran Mushaf in Indonesia wants to adopt the Quran Mushaf from the Ottoman, then the harakat in Indonesia Qurran should be eliminated.

"Therefore, at the time (1972-84), the harakat was the result of ijtihad of our Quran experts," he added.

The result of itjihad of the Quran experts was to facilitate the public to learn the Koran and also by taking Indonesian culture values.

“It’s part of our ulema itjihad to facilitate the people, but the meaning of the Quran wasn’t changed,” he explained.
