An Indonesian NGO distributes livestock to Somalia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - an Indonesian Non-Governmental Organization, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), sends its humanitarian team to Somalia. The team will distribute sacrificed livestock in Eid al-Adha for those who suffer food crisis.

This program, named ACT Global Qurban to Somalia, is led by its Vice President Imam Akbari, Director of Indonesian Volunteers Bayu Gawtama, and representative of Scholar Care for Somalia Fatma Muhammad.

"Besides distributing meat, we will continue the program of milk for Somalia and food for Somalia. We will also conduct further assessment program considering the more conducive situation in Somalia," Akbari said on Friday on the press release.
