REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- A humanitarian activist, Ustaz Muhammad Husein, responds to the situation in the Middle East, especially after Israel attacked Iran on Friday (13/6/2025). According to the well-known preacher Husein Gaza, Israel is actively playing a narrative to divide Sunni and Shiite groups. The goal of that zionist entity is to weaken muslims from uniting against Israel's interests.

Ustaz Husein said that there is a proverb in Arabic that means that whoever is not touched by punishment, he will be arrogant and uncivilized.

“So today, we are delighted to see at last a great country (Iran) that dares to punish Israel's barbarism, which the international world has been silent for so long. Therefore, we should rejoice (Iran retaliates against Israel's attack -Red),” Ustaz Muhammad Husein told Republika on the sidelines of the Islamic Book Fair (IBF) 2025 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Sunday (22/6/2025).

Ustaz Husein said that Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip, also rejoiced at Iran's attack on Israel. So, don't blame Muslims when appreciating Iran's attack on Israel.

What's more, many Gazans view Muslims who number in the billions as likely to be “dumb” in the face of Israeli savagery. So Muslims should support a force that can deliver a blow to the Zionists.

The founder of the International Networking for Humanitarian (INH) said Israel is very active in using sectarian issues to divide Sunnis and Shiites. The aim is to spark divisions among Muslims.

Now, it is not the time to taper the differences between Sunnis and Shiites. Because there is a “common opponent” of Israeli aggression, both that the Zionist entity is carrying out against Palestine and other Islamic countries.
