REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Spokesman of Foreign Ministry, Arrmanatha Nasir, said that he had received information about two Indonesian citizens who were detained by security authorities in Japan related to possession of firearms.

"Sure, we got information there are two Indonesians detained in Japan. It was because security authorities of Japan have sought them for having firearms," hesaid, Thursday (26/11).

According to him, Indonesian Embassy in Japan has been coordinated with the Japanese authority, related to detention of two citizens who have not been identified yet. The coordination has been made to ensure that both citizens could obtain their legal rights.

However, Ministry of Foreign Affairs could not be able to reveal identity of both citizens due to some reasons.

"We can not give their names, because most people who were considered as terrorists, were often not accepted by local community. In fact, they are not true involved in terrorist network," he explained.
