REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian President General (Ret.) Prabowo Subianto reportedly reshuffled the Red and White Cabinet on Monday (9/8/2025). A number of ministerial positions were replaced, including the appointment of the minister of hajj and deputy minister of hajj from the previous head and deputy head of the Hajj Agency.
“This afternoon, the President decided to change the composition of the Red and White Cabinet,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, at a press conference at the Presidential Office (Kanpres) in the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday (8/9/2025) afternoon WIB.
The positions that have been replaced are the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan and Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi, and Minister of Migrant Worker Protection (PMI) Abdul Kadir Karding.
According to Republika.co.id's observations at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, a number of ministers have begun to arrive. They will witness the inauguration of the ministers to be conducted by President Prabowo this afternoon.
Minister of Communication and Information Technology Meutya Viada Hafid is among those who have arrived at the Palace. However, she did not disclose the agenda she will be attending. “I don't know,” she said briefly.
