REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Minister of Religious Affairs (Meng) RI, Prof. Nasaruddin Umar officially announced 1 Syawal 1447 H/ 2026 AD falls on Saturday (21/3/2026) the day after tomorrow. This result was determined after Win presided over the Isbat hearing held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office, Jl MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.
“1st Syawal 1447 H/ 2026 AD falls on Saturday, March 21, 2026,” Nasaruddin said in a press conference after the Isbat hearing on Thursday (19/3/2026).
Thus, the Eid al-Fitr leaflet results of this isbat hearing differed from the decision of Muhammadiyah, which had established the Eid al-Fitr leaflet first. Muhammadiyah, through its information, has established that 1 Syawal 1447 H falls on Friday (20/3/2026) tomorrow.
The decision of this Isbat hearing was taken after considering the results of the hilal position and the report of the hilal rukyatul in various regions of Indonesia.
The trial session involved various elements, including representatives of ambassadors of friendly countries, leaders of Commission VIII DPR RI, representatives of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian Ulema Assembly, as well as related institutions such as the Meteorological and Geophysical Agency, the Geospatial Information Agency, the National Research and Innovation Agency, and falak academics, including from Bandung Institute of Technology.
