REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Thirteen contracts have been concluded between Ellipse Projects UK and the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, for a total amount of 247 million US dollars. The official signing ceremony was held during the Indo Defence exhibition in Jakarta, attended by the Indonesian President, His Excellency Mr. Prabowo Subianto, and the Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.

Ellipse Projects was represented by its CEO, Mr. Stéphane Terranova. A large-scale programme launched to refurbish hospitals as part of the Ministry of Defense’s Health Services Improvement Programme. This project is Ellipse Projects’ first partnership with the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and its first initiative in the Indonesian healthcare sector.

It represents a strategic step in the development of Ellipse Projects in Indonesia and demonstrates its ability to establish a long-term presence in public sector environments. The project is supported by the British government through the Department of Business and Trade (DBT) and UK Export Finance (UKEF), highlighting the strength of economic and industrial ties between United Kingdom and Indonesia.

This partnership brings dual strategic value: on one hand, it contributes directly to modernising the Indonesian MOD’s extensive healthcare infrastructure and improving access to quality care. On the other hand, it creates tangible opportunities for British healthcare companies, including manufacturers and specialised suppliers which typically serve the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). UK expertise — in medical equipment, digital health systems, and hospital management — will be leveraged in a high-impact export initiative.

This tripartite partnership reinforces Ellipse Projects’ position as a key player in high-value public infrastructure projects. Stéphane Terranova welcomed the signing as a defining moment for Ellipse Group.

“This project reflects our ambition to deliver concrete, sustainable solutions tailored to our partner countries’ priorities. It is also the result of a tremendous collective effort by our teams in Indonesia, UK, and France.”

Arnaud Cudel, Director of Sales at Ellipse Projects, added that this project marks a significant

milestone in Ellipse Projects’ long-term presence in Indonesia and underscores our strong

commitment to supporting President Prabowo’s Asta Cita priorities—particularly the enhancement

of the Indonesian healthcare system. "Through this initiative, we reaffirm our dedication to delivering

impactful, sustainable infrastructure that serves the needs of the Indonesian people.”
