Prabowo to Meet His Excellency Sultan Ibrahim and Malaysian PM

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by a number of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, will discuss strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Malaysia, during his visit to Jiran. Prabowo landed in Malaysia on Sunday (26/1/2025) evening.

“Of course, the meeting of the leaders of the two countries will discuss strategic measures in order to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia,” Yusuf said in a press release in Jakarta on Monday (27/1/2025).

During his bilateral visit in Malaysia, Prabowo was accompanied by a number of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet. They are Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti, Minister of Commerce Budi Santoso, Minister of Investment and Underwriting/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, as well as Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The ministers will accompany Prabowo, both in meetings with Malaysia's Yang Dipertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Iskandar and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Prabowo and Sultan Ibrahim were both educated in Fort Bragg, USA.

“During the state visit at Istana Negara, in addition to the state acceptance ceremony, then meeting with His Royal Highness Agong Sultan Ibrahim, Mr. President Prabowo Subianto is also planned to be accompanied by ministers,” Yusuf said.
