REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Strategic business management, strong corporate culture and commitment, and continuous innovation are the hallmarks of the winners in Indonesia's Best Managed Companies 2024 organised by Deloitte Indonesia. Entering its fourth year in Indonesia, this prestigious program recognises nine Indonesian businesses for their outstanding organisational achievements and impactful contributions to the industry and economy.

Best Managed Companies is a global awards program recognising privately held companies for their organisational success and entrepreneurial spirit.

This program provides a distinct framework for management teams to challenge themselves and benchmark against some of the best private companies in the world.

The Best Managed Companies program was established in Canada in 1993. It has since expanded to 46 countries across Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe and Middle East, and is launching across Africa. There is a global network of over 1,300 outstanding companies, and these companies come together as a community to build alliances and share insights.

This year, one company achieved the Gold Standard for the first time, having received Indonesia’s Best Managed Companies designation over four consecutive years, underscoring their consistent demonstration of excellent management practices. With this achievement, this company now joins the inaugural cohort of Gold winners among Southeast Asia's Best Managed Companies. This community offers opportunities to share insights and best practices, facilitating networking with other top-performing companies to foster learning and industry growth.

In addition, the awards program welcomed two winners who have newly qualified as Best Managed Companies, alongside three companies who have maintained their Best Managed status for three consecutive years. This recognises their sustained commitment to exceptional organisational practices and performance.

To attain a Best Managed Company designation, applicants went through a rigorous assessment conducted by a panel of independent and multi-disciplinary judges. Their evaluation was centred around the program‘s four pillars: strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities and innovation, as well as governance and financials. This evaluation framework draws on Deloitte’s benchmarking of top private companies worldwide over more than 30 years of the awards’ global history.

Best Managed Companies Leader, Deloitte Southeast Asia, Chua How Kiat, said: “The winners of Best Managed Companies awards stand out for their innovation, purpose-driven value creation, industry leadership, commitment to sustainability, active talent engagement and customer-centric mindset. Having witnessed the evolution of the winners through the awards process, particularly for those who have participated over recent years, it is remarkable to see how they have raised the bar for success among private businesses in the region.”

Global Deloitte Private Leader for Consulting Services and Southeast Asia Deloitte Private & Private Equity Leader, Keoy Soo Earn said, the best managed companies program, supported by Deloitte Private, celebrates the growing success of strong private companies around the world. We are proud to witness our winners’ steadfast innovation and resilient leadership, driving positive impact on their customers, people, industries, and communities."

Best Managed Companies Leader, Deloitte Indonesia, Dionisius Damijanto, commented, “In today’s dynamic business landscape, our nation continues to produce exceptional companies. We are thrilled to recognise the outstanding achievements of nine Indonesia’s Best Managed Companies this year. As they join the global network of Best Managed Companies, we are confident in their ability to contribute further to our economic growth and inspire our next generation of entrepreneurs.”

The winners have been invited to join the 2024 Southeast Asia Entrepreneur Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia on 5 November 2024, for a day of knowledge sharing, networking, and marketplace recognition.

The Indonesia winners join a global network of Best Managed Companies comprising more than 1,300 organisations from 46 countries across Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe, and Middle East, and is launching across Africa.

Indonesia’s Best Managed Companies application process provides participating companies with the opportunity to comprehensively assess their entire business, guided by Deloitte subject matter experts. This evaluation encompasses performance, management practices, and strategic goals. This year, the program welcomes new members to its independent judging panel: Prof. Agus W. Soehadi, Ph.D., Marketing Professor at Prasetiya Mulya Business School; Dr. Ancella Anitawati Hermawan, MBA, CA, Associate Professor at Department of Accounting University of Indonesia; and Antonius Augusta, Assurance Leader, Deloitte Indonesia.
