REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Tohir reviewed the readiness of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the construction of energy facilities and facilities (Sarfas) in the capital of the archipelago. (IKN) includes the gas network by Pertamina. The construction of the natural gas network at IKN in this case was carried out by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) as Pertamina Gas Subholding.
Minister of state-owned enterprises, Erick Tohir said that the Government together with SOEs is planning the development of a green industrial area in IKN. Pertamina as a gas network provider shows its commitment in providing clean energy in the capital of the archipelago. “We are planning in 10 - 15 years to have at least an industrial point, but a green industrial estate,” Erick said.
At the time of the review, Deputy President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Wiko Migantoro, explained that for energy supply at IKN, Pertamina will give priority to the gas network. “We replace it with a gas grid supplied with natural gas. The implementation of the construction is integrated with the construction of other utilities such as water lines, gas lines and electricity,” Wiko said.
The gas network (jargas) will later be able to be used in various vertical dwellings, site houses that are service houses for ministers and employees of IKN. The Central Core Area of Government (KIPP) will be divided in several stages. In the initial phase PGN is ready to serve the needs of customers who are expected to be operational by next August.
In addition to developing jargas at IKN, Pertamina is also preparing the Pertamina Sustainable Energy Center, which includes Pertamina Sustainability Academy, Pertamina Training Insititute, Pertamina Research and Innovation Center for Sustainable and Low Carbon Technologies.
Pertamina, as a leader in the field of energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emissions 2060 target by continuing to promote programs that directly impact the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
