Immigration Ready to Serve Hajj 2024

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SIDOARJO -- TPI Special Class I Immigration Office Surabaya, East Java ensures that it is ready to provide the best services during the Hajj season departing through the embarkation and disembarkation of Surabaya at Juanda International Airport.

The head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of East Java (Jatim) Heni Yuwono, on Monday said the implementation of the hajj with the departure of the first kloter on May 12, 2024.

“It happens that this is busy with the issue of Hajj on the 12th (May) first quarter, so immigration is ready,” he said after the certification of the Head of the First Class Office of Special TPI Surabaya from the old official, Chicco A Muttaqin, to Ramadhani at the Immigration Office Hall, Jalan Juanda, Sidoarjo, Monday (6/5/2024).

He stated that he was ready to support the process of removal of candidates for Hajj who came from Indonesia. “Wednesday will be a special meeting for development. In essence, we support the Angkasa Pura program to simplify, speed up the service,” he said.

Nevertheless, he still had to consider security issues because it is the main gateway for the entry of people from and out of the country.

“But we have to consider security because we really secure the country from the entry of foreigners,” he said.

TPI Surabaya Special Class I Immigration Office Ramdhani said Surabaya immigration is committed to improving the quality and capacity of Immigration services to the community, especially in Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Mojokerto regions.

“Our commitment is to provide excellent, professional and accountable Immigration services to the community,” Ramdhani said.

One of the forms of such commitment is to present the Passport Acceleration Service Unit (UP3), which is a service for accelerating the issuance of E-Passports a day after day.

“UP3 premiered on Saturday (4/5/2024) and we will evaluate its implementation so that it can be held regularly on Saturday,” he said.

He said that in the first 100 days of his work he still focused on performing the Hajj so that it could go smoothly without any significant interruptions.

“In front of the eyes, it should be anticipated immediately in terms of providing excellent service without leaving aside the security aspect. The 100 days that we are undertaking service efforts are mainly a matter of Hajj,” he said.
