Jakarta Government Expects TransJakarta Kalideres-Airport Temporary Fare IDR 3,500

Permanent fare that Dishub DKI has proposed is Rp 5,000 and will be discussed with DPRD.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Transportation Service (Dishub) DKI Jakarta expects the temporary fare of TransJakarta (TJ) route Kalideres to Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta) from the end of April 2024 will be valid at IDR 3,500.

“We expect the end of April to be fixed. Of course, in the near future, we will establish together with Pak Dirut TJ, so that the route will be permanent with a temporary fare of Rp 3,500,” said Head of Transportation Department (Dishub) DKI Jakarta Syafrin Liputo when confirmed in Jakarta, Thursday (18/4/2024).

Syafrin explained that the tariff is valid pending the determination of the official tariff, which until now is still under discussion with DPRD DKI Jakarta.

The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta has proposed the fare of TransJakarta route Kalideres-Soetta Airport of IDR 5,000. According to Syafrin, the temporary tariff of Rp 3,500 imposed at the end of April does not need to be discussed in Parliament.

“Yes, this rate of Rp 3,500 does not need to be discussed with DPRD DKI. This is a temporary tariff, because we will propose for a tariff of Rp 5,000,” Syafrin said.

Syafrin said that his side, together with TransJakarta, will socialize the new tariff to the community. “Socialization for the week, next week is already operated with a paid tariff, after which a parallel is proposed with a tariff that is IDR 5,000,” Syafrin said.

PT Transportasi Jakarta (TransJakarta) is still waiting for the decision of the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta on the fare for the Kalideres Terminal-Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta) route. “At the moment we are still waiting for the tariff determination from the DKI Provincial Government,” said PT TransJakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza earlier.

At present, Welfizon said, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta is still discussing the amount of the tariff. As a regional company, of course TransJakarta is waiting for the direction and decision of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

“The process is underway there (the provincial government), we will wait until the execution has been set straight,” Welfizon said.

Although the TransJakarta fare of the Kalideres-Soetta route has not been established, the trials are still being carried out. People can still use such public transport for free.
