REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Perusahaan Umum (Perum) Damri recorded more than 56,902 sold out travel tickets for business class, royal, and executive interprovincial intercity transport (AKAP) services to several destination points, during the transit period up to H-1 Lebaran Eid 1445 Hijri
“Homecoming using the bus fleet is still the favorite choice of settlers, it has been proven that 56,902 Lebaran transport tickets with various destination cities have been sold since the opening of the sales quota on February 25, 2024,” Corporate Secretary Damri Chrystian RM Pohan said in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/4/2024).
He delivered until H-1 Hari Raya Eid al-Fitri 1445 Hijri, trips on transjava, Pontianak, and Bandar Lampung were always high in popularity from Damri customers. Pohan said that the highest daily ticket sales occurred ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 2024 holiday in a row on April 5, 2024 with 5,881 tickets, April 6, 2024 with 5,109 tickets, and April 7, 2024 with 3,983 tickets.
“As a Lebaran transport provider, Damri always pays more attention to safety, security, and comfort, so that customers can experience a memorable journey to the point of destination to meet family or loved ones,” Pohan said.
In order to improve the quality of lebaran freight services, Pohan said, the entire DAMRI fleet goes through a series of ramp checks in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and periodic checks on the maintenance of interior and exterior facilities of the fleet.
He said Damri's side also made sure the pre-men were in good condition and healthy when delivering customers by conducting a medical check up before departure. “Damri continues to be committed to serving customers during the transit period of Lebaran 2024 safely, conveniently and upholding safety principles,” he said.
He invited Indonesians to use public transport to travel home until returning from their hometown. This is to realize Mudik Cheerful Full Meaning like the slogan of the Ministry of Transportation during the transit period of Lebaran 2024,” he said.
“By using public transport, people can contribute to breaking down congestion and pushing down traffic accident figures,” he said.
Pohan said that people who want to travel with Damri can book tickets through the online platform via Damri Apps to make transactions more effective and efficient.
Prospective customers can also book tickets offline using cashless method via QRIS, e-money, debit card, or credit card at the counter at the point of departure. “We hope Damri can be the top choice for Indonesians in creating memorable hometown trips,” Pohan said.
