REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN -- Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of RI, Hashim Asy'ari said that the conduct of gubernatorial elections (elections) will use the provincial budget. Meanwhile, the election of the regent (pilbup) and mayor (pilwakot) will use the district/city budget.
“For the election of the governor using the provincial budget. Then, for the district/city elections using the district/city budget,” Hashim said in the area of Candi Prambanan, Sleman Regency, Special Region Yogyakarta, Sunday (31/3/2024).
Despite this, according to Hashim, the simultaneous election between the governor and the mayor makes the financing done on a shared basis. He said that all elections will use provincial and district/municipal budgets.
It has also been regulated through the regulation of the minister of interior (permendagri). The Commission has also prepared derivative rules related to this.
Hashim explained that all provinces and districts/cities have reported the regional grant agreement (NPHD) script for the 2024 concurrent elections. Later, the signing of the Memorandum on the Budget budget grant for the elections was ready in its entirety.
“This is the only thing to be implemented and it is already in 2023 before the preparation of the 2024 election budget,” Hashim explained.
The following is the schedule of stages of the 2024 election:
1. 27 February-16 November 2024: notification and registration of election monitors;
2. 24 April-31 May 2024: submission of a list of potential residents of voters;
3. 5 May-19 August 2024: fulfillment of the requirements for the support of spouses of independent candidates;
4. 31 May-23 September 2024: updating and drafting of voter lists;
5. 24-26 August 2024: announcement of registration of candidate spouses; 6. 27-29 August 2024: registration of candidate spouses; 7. 27 August-21 September 2024: research requirements candidates;
8. 22 September 2024: determination of candidate pairs;
9. 25. September-23 November 2024: conduct of the campaign;
10. 27 November 2024: conduct of voting;
11. 27 November-16 December 2024: counting of votes and recapitulation of the results of the counting of votes.
