KAI Operates Four Additional Trains on Nyepi Holidays

A total of 48 trains will operate during Nyepi Holiday.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- PT KAI Operational Area (Daop) 8 Surabaya operates four additional long-distance trains (KAJJ) to accommodate customers who will travel during long holidays especially Nyepi 2024.

Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, Luqman Arif in his statement in Surabaya, Wednesday (6/3/2024), said that as for the trains operating as many as 48, consisting of 44 regular and four additional trains from 8 to 12 March 2024.

Four additional buses in Daop 8 Surabaya that will operate are, KA Arjuno Ekspres link Malang - Surabaya Gubeng, KA Arjuno Ekspres relationship Surabaya Gubeng - Malang, Sancaka relation Surabaya Gubeng - Yogyakarta and Malabar (morning) relation Malang - Bandung. It is committed to continuing to accommodate the needs of people who will use rail as a mode of transportation for travel.

“KAI Daop 8 Surabaya is ready to accommodate the needs of customers who will use long-distance trains by running four additional buses that run on weekends,” he said.

It reminds all potential customers to pay attention again when entering their booking details and also KA's departure schedule. Not only that, Luqman said, make sure you also provide enough time to get to the station so that you are not left behind by the KA.

“People who are going to book tickets on the holiday of Nyepi Day 2024, if the desired bus has run out, can use the connecting train feature on the Access by KAI application,” he said.

The feature, he added, will later combine connecting KA itineraries. Luqman urges all customers to abide by the applicable rules regarding the use of electric charging or sockets in the train as intended.

The facility, according to Luqman, can only be used to charge devices such as mobile phones, tablets, or laptop computers.

“In addition to devices, passengers are not allowed to use electrical outlets on trains for other purposes such as household electronics. This is because it can be disruptive to other passengers and potentially jeopardise the safety and comfort of rail travel,” he said.
