REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Islamic Religious Enlightenment Directorate (Penais), Ministry of Religious Affairs (Ministry of Religious Affairs), has again launched the Dai (preacher) program 3T (Left Behind, Ahead, Outward). This time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released 500 Dai and Daiyah that will be preached during Ramadan 1445 H/2024 A.D.
“I appreciate the determination and dedication of the DAI/Daiyah people to deliver Islamic Shi'ar in the 3T region. This noble task requires courage, perseverance and persistence,” said Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs (Wamenag) Saiful Rahmat Dasuki representing Religious Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas during the official release of the pilgrims in Jakarta on Wednesday (28/2/2024).
Wamenag advised the Dai and Daiyah to deliver a prayer of peace, courtesy, and comfort. Wamenag also asked Dai and Daiyah to strengthen the knitting of differences in the harmony of the monasticism.
“Be the Dai-Daiyah pioneer who guards the pillars of the Indonesian nation. Khanekaan is the sunnatullah and the grace of Allah SWT that we must thank and take care of together,” he said.
The Dai 3T program is a form of government presence in providing religious education services to all Indonesian citizens, including those in the 3T area. “The 3T region should indeed be of particular concern, because it is where the country's defense bastion is. It is the duty of the Dai to convey the essence of moderate Islamic teachings,” Wamenag said.
Dai 3T program is the flagship program of Bimas Islam Kemenag since 2021. Five hundred Dai-Daiyah will be deployed to their respective territories in 34 Indonesian provinces on March 1, 2024. Not only in Indonesia, the Ministry also sends Dai and mosque imams abroad such as America, Korea, and the United Arab Emirates
