REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- More than 150,000 Gus Ipul Volunteers from East Java (Jatim) are ready to vote for Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. They are also ready to invite people to be willing to come to the polls (polling stations) and vote for the Prabowo-Gibran pair for a one-round victory.

“Today the last volunteer consolidation, 5,000 Gus Ipul Lamongan volunteers we gathered. In total, more than 150 thousand Se-Jatim volunteers have moved for the victory of Prabowo-Gibran,” said Western Jatim Volunteer Coordinator Gus Ipul, Imam Makruf when confirmed in Surabaya, Thursday (8/2/2024).

Imam explained that the number of Gus Ipul Volunteers who will move will win Prabowo-Gibran as many as 15 people per village. There are 8,576 villages in Jatim Province. Then plus 10 coordinators in each district, and eight coordinators at the district/city level, will all escort the ballot boxes.

Imam explained that the hundreds of thousands of volunteers are members of the old Gus Ipul Volunteers who had fought during the 2018 Jatim Pilgub contest. In addition, Imam continued, many are also volunteer members who have just joined during the 2024 presidential election.

According to him, the coordination of all Gus Ipul Volunteers has started since December 14, 2023 by gathering coordinators at the district/city level. Hundreds of thousands of such volunteers are given multiple tasks. Among them are urging voters to come to the polling station on February 14, 2024 and vote for Prabowo-Gibran.

That way, it is expected that there will be no more second round of the 2024 presidential election. “In addition, he also campaigned for the presidential election once in order to save the state budget,” Imam said.
