The 1 hectare waqaf land managed to achieve an encouraging maize harvest success (almost 2 tons) providing additional nutritional ammunition for the BMH building center and strengthening the strong economic program of Mother Great, built by BMH.
A young farmer named Iman, the manager of the land, expressed his gratitude for the corn processed over the past three months.
“This is proof that with hard work and support, we can make the most of the waqf land,” he expressed passionately.
Kadep Implementator of BMH Center, Syamsuddin, explained that this successful harvest is a first step towards making waqf land more productive.
“We hope that, through this success, waqf land can continue to be optimally utilized to improve people's well-being, although for now it is still able to reach the food needs of the Santri,” Syamsuddin said at the site (31/1/24).
In future development plans, the land will also be planted with papayas, signaling a wider diversification of agricultural yields.
“In this way, we can make a greater contribution to food security and the local economy,” he added.
In addition to bringing economic benefits, this corn crop also has a positive impact on the health of the body.
Corn contains fiber, vitamins, and important minerals such as B vitamins, magnesium, and phosphorus.
“Regular consumption of corn can help maintain healthy digestion, support brain function, and strengthen the immune system,” Syamsuddin added.
BMH also plans to distribute the harvest of these blessings to parents and single parents who are struggling economically independent for their family life.
“This move is expected to provide real support to those in need,” Syamsuddin concluded.
