REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Quran conveys facts about love. There are at least five facts of love in the Quran. First fact, the Quran affirms the nature of love inherent in Allah SWT. Allah loves those servants who obey Him constantly.

Allah chooses among His worthy servants whom He loves so that He will have great privileges in the world and in the Hereafter. There are two kinds of servants whom Allah loves. First, those who love the truth and feel Allah is with them. Second, feel that Allah loves them.

The second fact is that there are eight criteria of people who are loved by Allah SWT mentioned in the Quran. The eight are benevolent, pious, patient, trusting, just, repentant, holy and purifying, and fighting in the way of Allah.

Every believer strives to fall under one of these criteria in order to receive the love of Allah. To reach that stage, a sacrifice is required over something that is loved. In addition, it also requires patience and willingness to struggle with various difficulties.

The third fact, relates to Ihsan. Ihsan is a plural term that contains the primacy of the charity of good and the fulfillment of worship according to the commandments of Allah SWT. Ihsan is a very important way to achieve the love of Allah SWT. In the Qur'an, there are four things to achieve the Ihsan stage: piety, being able to control anger, being willing to indulge, and asking Allah for forgiveness.

The fourth fact is that the Qur'an conveys the criteria of human beings that Allah dislikes. The groups of people (in the plural) that God dislikes are the aggressors, the oppressors, the vandals, the arrogant, the traitors, the infidels, and the fun-loving. As for those (individually) who are displeased with Allah (SWT), mentioned in the Quran, among others, are kufr and arrogant.

Fifth, the Qur'an also describes two types of human beings that Allah does not love. First, he is the one who likes to say bad words, and second, to do harm. These two types of human beings describe moral or moral systems that have been corrupted and spreading ugliness in the midst of society is already considered commonplace.

So remember, the collapse of morality is a sign of corruption. The appearance of damage means that there is no more virtue and moral virtue. People with these two traits will lose the ability to control reality in exercising the role of caliph on the face of the Earth.
