REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA- One of the main favors that Allah SWT gives to people is the recitation of the Quran. The holy book of the Quran is a sign of God's love and compassion for mankind in order to be safe and happy in life and successfully carry out the mission of khakifah on earth.

In Surah Az-Zumar verse 41 it is explained that God sent down the Quran for man, bil haqq or by bringing the truth.

إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ  

Verily We have sent down to you the Book for mankind, bringing the truth: whoever receives the guidance is for himself, and whoever is misguided, surely he is a pervert only for his own sake, and you are not responsible for them.“

In a number of other verses it is mentioned that another main function of the Quran is Al Huda, which is to be a guide. According to Muslim scholar Prof. KH Didin Hafidhuddin, in general, the Quran is indeed a guide for every human being or huda lin is ill-fated.

However, not all people take the Quran as a guide. There are people who reject or deny the truth of the Quran as the word of God.

Meanwhile, according to Prof. Didin, people who take the Quran as a guide and get it are a special group that wants to survive in their lives, namely the God-fearing.

In verse 41 of the letter of Az Zumar verse 41 above it is described about the one who is guided and the one who is misguided.

Prof. Didin explains who makes the Quran a guide to his own usefulness and good fortune. For those who do not accept the truth of the Qur'an, they are misguided to themselves.
