REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Leading Australian property developer Crown Group has received prestigious commendations for two of its Sydney developments at the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence 2019 on last Friday.

The iconic Arc by Crown Group in Sydney was commended as one of Australia’s best High-Density Developments. Mastery by Crown Group, a landmark development in Waterloo, was commended for its innovative marketing approach to marketing.

Crown Group Chairman and Group CEO Iwan Sunito said the prestigious industry awards recognised the company’s dedication to creating global iconic residential developments that set new benchmarks for design in Australia.

“At Crown Group, we always strive to set new benchmarks with each of our developments,” Mr. Sunito said.

“These unique world-class buildings embody all that Crown Group stands for - architectural masterpieces that are set to become Sydney’s most sought-after places to live, work and play.”

Designed by internationally acclaimed Koichi Takada Architects, Arc by Crown Group, the 25-storey Manhattan-style tower formed a striking addition to Sydney’s skyline when it was completed in 2018, with its distinctive heritage-look red brick façade at street level and 59 striking white arches that envelop the glass and steel upper levels and the rooftop garden.

The building has Crown Group’s signature resort-style facilities including a swimming pool, spa and gym, and rooftop garden area.

Designed to enrich and regenerate public amenity in the city, Crown Group has worked collaboratively to restore Skittle Lane which was originally built in the 1800’s as a laneway to service the surrounding warehouses and was used as a bowling lane for sailors and soldiers.

Using trachyte blocks, the developer repurposed Skittle Lane into a pedestrian and boutique retail thoroughfare with an eight-storey atrium linking King Street with Kent and Clarence Street. Crown Group has added an archaeological display using the findings from its site works.

At ground-level, Arc by Crown Group’s modern retail precinct is home to Michi Izakaya & Ramen, Ministry of Coffee, Delicatessen by Pony Dining and Grew & Co Fine Jewellery. Arc by Crown Group is also home to the second SKYE Suites; Sydney’s first five-star boutique serviced apartment hotel offering 73 luxury serviced apartments.

Mastery by Crown Group, the highly-successful marketing campaign for the five-tower residential development resulted in more than $40 million in sales of its first allocation within its first few hours.

Global marketing launches followed in Jakarta, Surabaya, Shanghai, Hongkong, and recently in Singapore and Tokyo, opening up doors for international buyers. A true industry stand-out; the marketing campaign attracted thousands of enquiries, worldwide media interest and more than 2000 guests to its red-carpet unveiling event at Moore Park in October.

Being developed in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Group, Mastery will comprise 368 luxury apartments when it is completed in 2021 featuring an infinity-edge rooftop pool, gym, spa, mini-cinema, community room and a ground-floor retail precinct comprising a mix of restaurants, cafes and shops, and Sydney’s first Japanese “eat street”

World-renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma's innovative 20-story tower features lush, timber-clad design on the building's green exterior emulating a 'stacked forest'. Three further towers are the work of award-winning architect Koichi Takada Architects, while the fifth residential building is designed by established Sydney based architects Silvester Fuller.

“We are thrilled to see that two of Crown Group’s developments won the prestige UDIA Commendations,” Mr. Sunito said.

“In the past two decades Crown Group has earned a reputation for turning big ideas into innovative developments; and striving to go beyond what is expected in residential development,” Mr. Sunito said.
