KPK searches South Solok Regent’s house

Four anti-graft institution officers entered Muzni’s house.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PADANG -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a search at South Solok Regent Muzni Zakaria’s private house in Padang City, West Sumatra on Thursday (Apr 25). Four anti-graft institution officers entered Muzni’s house, as reported.

“I saw four officers, consist of two with police uniform and two others wore KPK vests,” said local resident around Muzni’s private house, Teguh Ilhamda.

According to Teguh, the officers entered Muzni’s private house, which located on Tanjung Karang street at 8.00 am. They were in the house for around two hours then left.

From the information, there were two suitcases that the officers brought from Muzni’s house. However, there were no further information about the search.

West Sumatra Police spokesman, Syamsi said, there was no information yet about the search at Muzni’s private house. He said usually KPK needs place for direct inspection and coordinated with local police to conduct it.

“Usually they (KPK) need a place for inspection, and will coordinate with us to provide place,” said Syamsi.
