REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILEGON -- The government has installed a radar to detect tsunami waves in the city of Serang, Banten. The government will install two more radars in tsunami-prone areas.
"Earlier, I was informed by the head of BMKG about the radar installed in Serang for detecting tsunami waves," President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said in a meeting in Pandeglang Regency, Banten, on Monday.

The installation of the tsunami detection radar is planned for March 2019. In addition, related to the Special Economic Zone in Tanjung Lesung, Banten, Jokowi directed each regional head to evaluate spatial planning.
"Everything that has been related to spatial planning has been conveyed to the regional head to be seen and evaluated again in the future," Jokowi remarked.
The president has made a working visit to Pandeglang District, Banten, to review the disaster alert device. During the visit, the president witnessed Disaster Preparedness (Tagana) disaster education Entering Disaster Alert Schools and Villages.
