REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The House of Representatives (DPR) on Thursday endorsed seven candidates for members of the Institute for the Protection of Witnesses and Victims (LPSK). Earlier, the candidates have undergone a fit and proper test.
"I ask you whether a report from the House Commission III on the discussion of candidates for LPSK members for the 2018-2023 period could be endorsed?" DPR Deputy Chairman Utut Adianto stated during a House plenary session here on Thursday.
All DPR members present at the plenary session voiced their agreement. Adianto said after the candidates are approved, they will be processed in accordance with the existing mechanism.
Deputy Chief of the House Commission III Erma Suryani Ranik noted that the House Commission III accepted the 14 candidates for LPSK members. Ranik said the House Commission III conducted a fit and proper test on the 14 candidates for LPSK members on Dec 4-5.
"The House Commission III has exercised its authority by giving its approval and discussing the draft law and order, draft schedule, and draft statement signed by the candidates for LPSK members," she stated.
The seven candidates for LPSK members for the 2018-2023 period: Hasto Atmojo Suroyo, Police Brigadier General (ret) Achmadi, Antonius Prijadi Soesilo Wibowo, Edwin Partogi Pasaribu, Maneger Nasution, and Susilaningtias.
