REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Democratic Party executive Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) appointed as the campaigner for Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno in 2019 presidential election. He was assessed has capability to search for millennials' votes.

“Not in the structure, not managerial tasks. If we are looking for a coat tail effect from millennial, he (AHY), must be a campaigner,” said Democratic Party deputy secretary general Andi Arief on Sunday (Sept 9).

Meanwhile, for the spokesmen, Democratic Party has appointed several names. Started from Rico Rustombi, Rachland Nashidik, and Deddy Yusuf.  “Majority of the Democratic Party Central Executive Board (DPP) become campaign team, but I'm not involved, I have to manage our internal (ogranization),” Andi added.

As it known, Prabowo - Sandiaga camp has not announced yet their national campaign team. The camp planned to officially announce the team in next September 20.

Earlier, Prabowo explained his camp was not slow, but being tactful in establishing its campaign team. His camp was left behind in declaring his team since incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has appointed media and sports tycoon Erick Thohir as chief of national campaign team on Friday (Sept 7) afternoon.

"No problem, we have our own calculation for the interests of the people," he said.

According to Prabowo, chairman of his national campaign team was already widely cited by medias. He would not asked people from outside supporting parties to lead the team.

"We will not 'import' any player, the figure will be from among us," he stated at his residence at Kertanegara Street, South Jakarta.
