REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coalition of supporting parties of Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno in presidential election 2019 rejected the number of permanent voters lists (DPT) released by General Election Commission (KPU) which was around 185 million. The statement came after the four secretaries-general of the supporting parties held a meeting to discuss the issue.

Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) secretary general Mustafa Kamal explained Prabowo-Sandiaga's camp rejected the figure because there were some errors related to temporary voters list (DPS). The camp noticed that at least 25 million double datas from 137 million more voters in DPS.

“We reject DPT in 2019 general election and presidential election, because in some electoral districts there are several names, even one name can be duplicated 11 times in one polling station (TPS),” said Mustafa on Monday (Sept 3).

Mustafa asked KPU to not rush in setting the DPT. He said KPU should first share the final DPT data to the coalition parties to be explored further. Moreover, there was a number of errors that have been found.

“So, before it’s determined by KPU, we want the updated data to be shared to coalition parties first then we will closely monitor togeher,” Mustafa added.

KPU commissioner Viryan said there are 187 million voters who had been in the 2019 election DPT. The figure was based on recapitulation of domestic and foreign voter lists.

“The total number of DPT is around 187 million. As many as 185 million voters are in 34 province in Indonesia, while about two million voters are scattered in 130 foreign countries," Viryan said on Tuesday (Aug 28).

"All regencies / cities have completed the DPT. And today the DPT was announced throughout all villages offices by sticking the print out the data," said Viryan.

Prabowo - Sandiaga pair is supported by four political parties namely Gerindra Party, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), National Mandate Party (PAN), and Democratic Party.  Late on August 9, Gerindra Party chief patron Prabowo declared himself as presidential candidate and Sandiaga as his running mate.

"Leaders of three political parties, namely PKS, National Mandate Party (PAN), and Gerindra Party have decided and trusted me and Sandiaga to advance as presidential and vice presidential candidate for the 2019-2024 term," said Prabowo in a press conference on August 9.
