REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MADIUN -- Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said map of traffic density on mudik (exodus) lanes. He assessed with the mapping, people can go early, not approaching Eid Al-Fitr 1439 H.
From the mapping, Budi predicted the traffic density during mudik would not much different from last year. He said in Cipali will be density, second at Port Merak.
Nevertheless, Budi ensured that the Ministry of Transportation and related parties had planned well, especially for Cipali. He emphasized that the readiness of mudik route will be re-examined.
He also planned to work together with Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimujono. Budi said on June 5, they will review mudik routes.
We will review everything and when its finished, i suggest people to not only use toll roads, Budi said on Tuesday (29/5).
Budi suggested people to use national roads or arteries for their mudik trip this year. He ensured Pantura road is in good condition directly to Surabaya and it was checked.
Meanwhile, Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimujono also ensured the readiness of national road and also toll for 2018 mudik season. He said Pansela, Pacitan, Gunung Kidul, to Yogyakarta paths condition is good.
According to Basuki, the toll road will be opened to Surabaya, although there are still several that opened functionally. For example, Solo functional toll road to Surabaya that ready to be used for mudik route this year.
