REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- The Tourism and Creative Economy Office of Makassar City in South Sulawesi will hold the Makassar Culinary Night (MCN) around Fort Rotterdam to popularize one of the historical sites in the city. the MCN event, to be held on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Central Indonesia Standard Time.
Local Tourism and Creative Economy Office Chief Rusmayani Majid remarked here on Wednesday that MCN will attract hordes of visitors. "We will intentionally hold the MCN at the Rotterdam Fort area to further popularize the fortress and increase the number of visitors to this tourist attraction," Majid remarked.
According to Majid, the MCN event will last for only a night to rouse the community's curiosity, as there is no second opportunity to witness the concepts and menus on offer that night.
Majid noted that the MCN had been held for four consecutive years, but this time, he is committed to showcasing something new, which is the Fort Rotterdam.
On the occasion, he will involve application service provider Go-Jek to participate in boosting the prestige and success of the event by cooperating with food bloggers in Makassar.
