REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Attorney General's intelligence team found hundreds of Chinese-language LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered) comics in the Post Office of Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday. The comics were about to be sent through the post office.
Director of Socio-Culture and Society of the Deputy Attorney General's Intelligence Affairs (JAM Intel) M Yusuf mentioned the disclosure had been made thanks to the intelligence works at various points, ranging from ports to the Post Office in Pasar Baru where they could easily distributed to various regions in Indonesia.
"We just found the LGBT comics with Chinese language at the Post Office, in Pasar Baru," he said when accompanying JAM Intelligence Jan Maringka.
However, Yusuf has not been able to give detail how many comics were found and the publisher of the book because it is a new finding.
"We are still investigating these Chinese comics," he stated.
He further said that his side as the prosecutor will tell police as the investigators if they found the perpetrator and distributor of the books
