REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Jakarta administration will promote the products of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) during the implementation of the 18th Asian Games. The products will be on display in the front to catch the attention of potential buyers in market stalls to be set up near the Asian Games venues, Sandiaga Uno, the deputy governor of Jakarta, stated here, recently.
The Jakarta Creative Hub has produced several creative products that could be offered during the largest sports event in Asia.

The One Sub-district, One Center Entrepreneurship program of the Jakarta government will also encourage women to produce various products that could create job opportunities, Uno noted following a cooperation agreement with a non-governmental organization called Perempuan Indonesia Raya, or Great Indonesian Women.
The local MSMEs could produce various souvenirs for Asian Games enthusiasts, he remarked.

Jakarta and Palembang, the provincial capital in South Sumatra Province, will co-host the 18th Asian Games from August 18 to September 2, 2018.
Some 9,500 athletes, 2,500 personnel of the Asian Olympic Council, and 5,500 technical delegates from 45 Asian countries will participate in the Asian Games. At least 3,500 media representatives are expected to cover the games.
