REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG — Persib Bandung manager Umuh Muchar wondered with the sanction imposed by Discipline Commission of Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) to his club following act of supporters who made choreography "Save Rohingya" during the match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium on Saturday (September 9) .
"The policy of our government is to support humanitarian aid to our Muslims brothers in Rohingya. Why did PSSI not in line with the government?" he said on Thursday (September 14).
PSSI imposed sanction to Persib as they are considered negligent to assist creativity of their fans. According to PSSI, fans of Persib, known as Bobotoh, has violated a rule by making choreography inscribed "Save Rohingya" during a match between Persib and Semen Padang.

Umuh defended the fans for displaying cards inscribed "Save Rohingya". He stressed the choreography has no political intension. "It was pure action for humanity. It was an act of sympathy for Rohingya," he said.
Umuh supported fundraising by Bobotoh communities and ready to help if the money collected is still not enough.
On the other hand, Umuh suggested to Bobotoh not to exchange the coins with bank notes. He wanted the fine of Rp50 million to be paid in coins to PSSI to show Bobotoh's accountability.
